The perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday in the Park
The Festival kicked off with a toast of cool water as Councillor Danny Thorpe and our own Pearly Queen, Gwen Jones, officially opened the new drinking fountain dubbed ‘The Watering Hole’. The plumbing firm, 1st About Plumbing, sent a rep and our Park Ranger, John Tomlinson, represented Parks and Open Spaces who will maintain the fountain.
The new drinking fountain, The Watering Hole, will be opened with style at 12.30 to kick off our Summer Festival Frolics!
Last minute requests for help if you can to…

Please contact the Management Committee on werfsp@gmail.com. Thanks to all those members who have volunteered already.
We are showcasing Jazz Nights, Pytchwood, The Gillies, StepZ Dance troupe, D Ng Tai Chi and Bexley Ukelele Band for your musical delight. The Meerkat Menagerie will be cavorting around when least expected, amongst a vast array of stalls and cakes, crafts and telescopes. And of course the Dog Show will be in full voice in the big field. Something for everyone!
Thank you all for turning out for the weekend of fun, despite the drizzles. With your help we raised over £500 which will go towards our drinking fountain fund.
More thanks
It was great to have the Bella Voce Social Club, Jazz NIghts and the Greenwich Morris dancers at our Saturday event, a huge thank you to them for allowing the show to go on during the rain!
