Scouts do their bit for the Park

This is a belated but heartfelt thank you to the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers and of 10th Royal Eltham Division and their noble leaders who contributed time and energy to regenerating a neglected patch of the park on Plum Lane across from Dallin Road.

The area was cleared, opened up and planted with hedgerow saplings and spring bulbs.  Watch for all the buds!

The Scouts wanted to progress their forestry and community badges and FSP wanted some enthusiastic young people to get involved in the park so it was natural to link up. The Scout leaders I’ve been working with, on this project and proposed ones, are truly dedicated to their youngsters and shared community spirit. It was a pleasure working with everyone and seeing how engaged they are with the natural environment.  both groups look forward to more shared activities.

Once again, my apologies for not posting this sooner. We blew their trumpet to the Council in October, rest assured.
